Have you got the Tekkers? Prove it - Football Trials and Education scheme with Watford FC Trust & Whitmore High

Watford FC Trust and Whitmore High School have come together to give aspiring players between the ages of 16 and 19 the chance to combine football training and competitive fixtures, whilst studying a BTEC in Sport.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for young males to develop their talent and progress into a higher level of football, or alternatively university, football coaching, or other areas in the sports industry.

The course offers:

• UEFA qualified coaching
• Education at an 'outstanding' rated school

And…

Players will all receive free Watford FC training and match kit once enrolled, as well as support in gaining coaching qualifications leading to potential employment at the Trust.

To get an idea of the pathways the scheme can make available to you just take a look at what former captain Josh Lewis-Evans had to say about the scheme.

"Whilst on the course Josh worked extremely hard on and off the pitch, leading by example as our captain and playing non-league football at just 16. He also gained his Level One coaching qualification and was a casual coach for the Trust. His biggest achievement was in the classroom where he gained D*D*D*, the highest grade possible. This hard work saw him receive a Soccer Scholarship at Drury University in Missouri, USA, where he was recently runner-up Freshman of the Year in his first year and is hoping to be increased to a full scholarship in his second year."
