About this shot
This is a chance for you to jump into a ‘real-time’ work situation and work in a tightly knit team to produce 6 half hour episodes of a broadcast-quality magazine TV show called ‘What’s Up TV’, which is aired on Sky 1.
Previous experience isn't required, as you'll be thrown into the deep end under strict supervision. All we ask is that you're completely dedicated and committed throughout the training programme!
You'll have the option to choose from any of the following positions:
- Trainee Production Manager
- Trainee Production Coordinator
- Trainee Researcher (Item Producer)
- Trainee Video Editor
- Trainee Camera Operator
- Trainee Sound Operator
Duration: 14 weeks of intensive hands on training (+6 months of follow-up career support)
Support: The first 4 weeks consists of free training and is unpaid. The following 10 weeks are employed training.
Benefits: Available to individuals receiving benefits at the time of application. This will provide continued support during the initial 4 weeks of unpaid training. (Advisors may also be able to help with travel expenses to and from training)
Industry Placements: Trainees who are successful in completing the Autumn 2017 scheme will go onto paid work placements at Sky UK, Endemol Shine Group and Procam TV. Please note that industry placements can start anytime between the end of the training and the beginning of January 2018.
